Thanks for posting this video. This will make writing much easier,instead of attempting to fit in a long keyword phrase. Can this be applied to article writing as well?
Hi Earl! Thanks. Yes, you can do this with articles and blog posts, too. Keep in mind, however, that this is an observation. I’ve not seen anything official that indicates this is the new SEO copywriting strategy. But it’s something I’ve been doing myself for a while now.
I haven’t made any testing that would confirm this, either – but this is the feeling I get from my searches on Google too. Just an observation and a hunch, really.
I tend to use a mixed technique when writing articles/posts, both using the straight keyphrase and breaking it into its components. Also, slipping in the text words that are relevant to the subject – I’m trying to discover how to best use the so-called LSI.
All in all, it results in far more readable copy, while giving me the chance to use the keywords even more times within a certain post.
Hi Eleni. I don’t think LSI will every be a major factor in copywriting. It works well in internal, highly controlled situations, but, from what I’ve read and been told (had an email conversation with one of the original creators) it will take a LOT of improvements before it would work with something like Google.
It does result in more readable copy.
I’ll have to do a bit of formal testing and see if I can find out. Problem is, there are so many other factors out there that might affect ranking.
