Great idea doing a series on Landing pages. My biggest takeaway is that your message should be clearly aligned from the trigger mechanism to the landing page plus have a clear call to action. Do you an example of a high converting landing page and a resource for landing page templates?
Hi Herman! A landing page template. Hmm… good idea! I might have to create one of those from a copywriting perspective. As for high-converting landing pages, all we have to go on is what others tell us is successful. Obviously, as an outsider, I don’t have access to another company’s stats. They come in all shapes and sizes from extremely long copy to very short copy depending on what they hope to accomplish.
With that said, here are a few that report high conversions:

Hey Karon,
You recommended Lynda.com for learning website skills. I wanted to learn Google Analytics and explored my options. A class Google recommends was going to cost $1,500. I’d prefer to learn Analytics and Adwords and how about Html while I’m at it through Lynda.com. Cost? $25 or $50 (if it takes me 2 months.) In other news, I hate that Google (and now everybody) spells algorhythm as “algorithm.” Just to be cool. So annoying!
Hey girl! Yes, I love Lynda.com and they have a free 7-day trial, too. And yes, they do have courses on Google Analytics and Google AdWords. Something else I recommend for learning AdWords is Perry Marshall’s course “Definitive Guide to Google AdWords”. Depending on which options you choose, it’s somewhere between $49 – $197. I have not taken it, but I have taken several of Perry’s other courses and thought they were very good.
Then, of course, there’s my ebook for learning to write PPC ads (shameless plug!).
I’m probably guilty of misspelling algorithm, too. In fact, looking up at your comment, the spell checker in WP is saying “algorhythm” is not correct and “algorithm” is. Too funny! My pet peeve is when people run words together that shouldn’t be run together like weboptimization, etc. Let’s not get lazy now! lolol
Thank you for doing this video series as you have a lot of great information to share. I’m looking forward to the other videos in this series. I will be subscribing to you YouTube channel today.
